Drifting currents surged throughout Zaldras, churning and twisting at it blew passed the spiked trees that grew in the almost dead soil. Raw warp power infused the air as a thousands fires burned in the distance, corpses ablaze of the fallen, killed in the in battle no more then a hour before.
The earth shook as a vast skull burst from the ground beneath Adual's ghostly form, willed from the ground itself. Lord Adual arose silently upon the newly formed monument to his powers, spinning slowly as he took in the stench of death around him. Power armoured bodies littered the floor around him, their pink and black forms casting harsh shadows across the landscape as the light stretched across from the west.
Behind his skull shaped mask, Adual menaced grimly like a follower of Khorne, the blood god. 'Arnell couldn't of done this well against these Slaaneshi scum' thought Adual as he continued to rise into the air.
Champion Haldar approached, a lone marine tagging along behind, chained. "Master, I have brought you the traitor Yuran of the Emperor's Children" boomed the sorcerer up towards Aduals in the darkening sky. Stopping his ascent suddenly, Adual looked down and focused upon the two Space Marines below. One dressed in blue and gold trim that seemed to change hues of blue as wildly as dragon fire upon the moons of Ultar. The other, who wore the same armoured patterning as the slain that littered the ground, thick gold manacles holding the traitor's arms and legs.
Looking up, Yuran could see Adual, an archangel of death, a massive sword two man lengths in reach, clasped in one hand. Two fine clothes with Tzeentchian sigals and runes flapped in an almost non-existent breeze that hung from his shoulder pads. A beaked skull mask concealed his face, his body was transparent apart from a his shoulders, arms and head. A huge shoulder plate braced his shoulders, each side ending in a vicious spiked tip. Two long pieces of cloth hung from his shoulder armour plates.
As Adual lowered himself upon the winds of magic around him, Yuran's skin tingled with renewed vigour, the pleasure of it exciting every fibre of his being as the power radiating from Adual increased. As he reached the top of the skull monument, the sheer mass of the daemon prince became apparent. Standing amply 14' tall, Adual could tower over even the revered Eldar Avatar in sheer height.
The rock skull dropped, forming a perfectly level surface as Adual begun drifted forward. "So Yuran, why did you attack us? Has Gemiel betrayed us or was this entirely your fault?" enquired the Tzeentchian daemon prince. "It seems that my gambit failed, and I was acting alone in this, Gemiel still thinks that I am back on Telas" hissed Yuran as the sensations created by Adual's raw power engulfed him. "So Gemiel won't miss you then..." issued Adual with a merciless tone in his voice.
Haldar knew what was coming and stepped back away from Yuran just in time to witness a bolt of bright blue and yellow strike the Emperor's Children Marine between the head and midriff. The powerful blow sent the armoured husk that was Yuran flying back several meters before it came to rest upon the rocky ground.
