The Spartans consist of:
1 Space Marine Captain [Leonidas] with Master-Crafted Relic Blade (his spear), Master-Crafted Power Weapon, Bolt Pistol, Artificer Armour, Iron Halo, Frag Grenades, Melta Bombs.
300 Space Marines with Bolter, Bolt Pistol, Close Combat Weapon, Power Armour, Frag Grenades, Melta Bombs.
Eternal Warrior: Leonidas has the Eternal Warrior Special Rule.
Bullet Proof: Spartans can only be killed in Close Combat. No exceptions!
Combat Squads: The Spartans must be split into squads of 5 or 10 Marines.
Not One Spartan Dies! One Use Only
This rule may be activated at the start of any Spartan Turn. Until the start of their next turn, all Spartans have Feel No Pain.
Crowning Moment of Awesome: One Use Only
The Crowning Moment of Awesome may be activated at the start of any phase. Leonidas' stats (except Wounds) are all raised to 10 until the start of the next phase the CMoA was activated (ie: if activated on Player B's Shooting Phase, it ends at the start of Player B's next shooting phase). In addition, Leonidas may throw his Relic Blade at any model on the table to which he has line of sight. If it hits, the model is removed from play with no saves of any kind allowed (they might not be dead - they may simply have been served in such an awesome manner they're too shocked to fight!). Obviously, Leonidas no longer has his Relic Blade!
Leonidas does not suffer wounds whilst Crowning Moment of Awesome is active, but make a note of wounds inflicted - these will be instantly applied after it has ended.
As soon as the Crowning Moment of Awesome is activated, the Spartans lose the Bullet Proof and Not One Spartan Dies! rules.
If Leonidas is reduced to 0 Wounds, then the Crowning Moment of Awesome activates automatically - Leonidas will automatically die when it runs out, but is invincible until then!
