These are the largest and most prominent Sept worlds in the Empire. They are the eldest of the Septs, colonised in the 1st Phase Expansion.
Sept Colour: White
Description: T'au is the Home world of the Tau, it is a dry but hospitable planet with large open plains, split by great mountain ranges. Its position as the eldest and most important of all Septs means that T'au is the central government of the empire. Here the most senior ethereals, commanders, architects, admirals and diplomats sit and decide the course of the empire. Because of it's station as the capitol and it's venerability the Tau from this world are stereotypically viewed as particularly scholarly and knowledgeable, as well as possessing an air for politics. A Tau from this world would be suitably tactical and well prepared understanding both themselves and their enemies. Spending much time thinking and planning.
Notable Characters: Aun'Va, Commander Shadowsun, Shas'O R'myr1
Sept Colour: Yellow
Description: Not much is known about the climate of Tau'n but it is known to have been the first world colonised by the Tau. It is noted for having a fairly balanced numbers between the different castes. This venerable Sept world has become a symbol for the pioneering spirit of the Tau, because of this Tau from this world are stereotypically viewed as pioneers and travellers leading many Tau expeditions and colonisation fleets always being at the forefront of Tau expansions. A Tau from this world would be idealistic and inquisitive with a lust for adventure.
Notable Characters: Por'El Ukos
Sept Colour: Light Blue
Description: D'yanoi mean's twin moons in Tau. The planet is in constant twilight due to the interaction between its moons and the planet's orbit of its sun. There are suggestions that D'yanoi's climate and topography is that of swamps or bayous. D'yanoi was cut off from the Empire for an unknown reason. Because of the lack of supplies the colony was forced to revert to a lower level of technology. Although contact was re-established and the Tau fully integrated back into the Empire, the stereotype of being rustic or backward has stayed with them. A Tau from this world would be suitably traditionalist, possibly being less trusting of technology and new ideas, more at home in a rural or countryside setting.

Sept Colour: Turquoise
Description: It is suggested that Bork'an is a world of ice and snow, as their fire caste uniform has become the standard for snow terrain camouflage. It is a great centre of learning. Some of the empire's best academies are to be found on this world and the Fio caste here are first class as a result. The Sept colour of Bork'an, turquoise is the Tau colour that represents practicality. A Tau from Bork'an is most likely to be highly educated and as a result very knowledgeable, down to earth type of character. As their sept colour suggests they may prefer practicality and usefulness in their actions.
Notable Characters: Shas'O Alo'rra
Sept Colour: Purple
Description: Dal'yth is a very cosmopolitan world, with large cities and a vast bureaucratic trade network. Due to this the, or perhaps because of this, this world is particularly famous for it's water caste traders and merchants. Their trade culture has influenced them to work closely with alien species, Dal'yth being the world which has had the most contact with or races. Not all contact has been friendly however; Dal'yth was the site where the Tau Empire finally halted the imperial Damocles Gulf Crusade. The Tau of Dal'yth value trade as much as military success and so Tau from this world are likely to be successful traders and barterers. A Tau from this world would be suitably advanced and well-informed, hailing from the bustling and competitive life in the city. This may lead them to be quite success orientated.
Notable Characters: Commander Puretide
Sept Colour: Dark Red
Description: Fal'shia is another densely populated Sept, with many beautiful buildings and works of art. The artisans of the Fio'caste have made the world famous with their successes. Beyond works of art and craft, many of the empire's technology is researched here, with most of the technology discovered by Tau being discovered by the Fal'shians. As a consequence of this, these Tau are perhaps the most technologically advanced in the empire. Stereotypically because of their many scientists, this world is seen to produce good problem solvers. A Tau from this world would be very familiar with the workings of Tau technology; they may have a passion or even skill for taking things apart or fixing them; perhaps even a skilled mathematician.
Notable Characters: Shas'O O'res'ka
Sept Colour: Red
Description: Vior'la orbits a binary star; it is an arid and inhospitable world, covered with lethal firestorms that force many Tau to live either underground or in protected domes. Perhaps because of its inhospitable and harsh nature, Vior'la is famous for its fire-warriors. The oldest fire caste academy was built here, during the first sphere expansion. The people of this world are very military orientated, skilled at both fighting and survival, this of course makes them very aggressive people. A Tau from this world would almost certainly be dour and choleric preferring to attack or to press forward rather than wait around.
Notable Characters: Commander Farsight, Aun'Shi
Sept Colour: Orange
Description: Sa'cea is one of the Septs in the empire which could perhaps qualify as a hive-world. It is a vast, densely populated world with a highly militaristic culture, perhaps the most populated world in the empire. No Sept produces as many fire-warriors as Sa'cea not even the militaristic Vior'la. Military success, honour and discipline are the hallmarks of Sa'cea. A Tau from this world would be dutiful always remembering the Tau'va in their actions, they would likely spend great amounts of time, meditating and improving their self discipline.
