Different Armours for the Tau Commander

"Tau commanders usually fight in XV8 crisis battlesuits, but according to tau doctrine stealth teams cannot be promoted past shas'vre. Also some fire warrior shas'uis decline promotion because they are so attached to their team, or simply the way of fighting. Occasionally, such individuals become so good at their job that they are promoted to higher ranks yet are still allowed to keep their XV15/25s or their fire warrior armour. Examples of this are commanders of tank companies or stealth cadres."

Bodyguard: The commander may be given a bodyguard of 2-4 Shas'vres equipped with stealthsuits. These follow all the rules for the Shas'vre team leaders for the elites choice stealth team. Up to 2 of them may replace their burst cannons with fusion blasters for 2pts per model (regardless of unit size).

Bodyguard: The commander may be given a bodyguard of either an honour guard (see Ethereal entry in the Tau codex), or the Shas'vre bodyguards below.

How I came up with the rulesI first came up with the idea for a fire warrior commander when I started building a mech tau force. I realised that Tau cannot field an entirely mechanised (all tanks/mounted in vehicles) force as crisis suits cannot ride in 'fishes and commanders are compulsory in codex: Tau Empire. After a bit of looking around, I saw that shas'uis can be found in crisis suits, stealthsuits and fire warrior armour. Looking at the points I saw that crisis suit are 5 pts more, and the only differences between the models were their armour and that fire warriors carry weapons (crisis suits have to buy their weapons). So, deciding the pulse weapons were irrelevent I determined that crisis suits are 5 pts (25 pts - 20 pts. WOW I'm so clever!).
So I thought that a crisis shas'o (75 pts) take a battlesuit (5 pts) would make a fire warrior commander (70 pts). Then I altered the options to make him a bit more sensible (a fire warrior commander with iridium armour and a twin linked plasma rifle? NO WAY!), and figured out some bodyguards and hey, look, a fire warrior commander! I then simply used the same idea for a stealthsuit and got a stealth'o.
One final thing. I could use this to make a broadside commander, but a BS Definition: Battle Sister or Ballistic Skill5 twin linked railgun is just OTT. Besides, a commander should lead from the front, so I decided that would be unfair. The others however are fully playtested seem to work fine in games so if your opponent won't let you use them, poke hime until he/she does.
