Eldar Versus Space Marines

Kar'lon wrote this.
Farseer Karlon and his council eyed the precious building from a distance. He knew there would be heavy resistance from the Mon-Keigh in the form of Ultramarines, but the artifact inside needed to be captured at all costs.
His force stayed in cover until close enough to launch an attack. The Seer Council advanced on foot with a force of Black Guardians advancing down either flank. He knew those trusty star cannons are going to be put to good use this battle. The towering form of a Wraithlord strode beside the council, and a Flacon Grav Tank containing a squad of Banshees was speeding from behind. Warp Spiders teleported in too, as their speed would come in handy for taking out those speedy bikes.
The Eldar force advanced at a steady rate, with the falcon unselfishly speeding forward and parking in front of the costly Seer Council, just in case they were spotted. The Eldar didn't want to raise the alarm this turn, so they remained silent and didn't shoot.
The Ultramarines just stood around like the pathetic Mon-Keigh they were, with no idea of the casualties that they were about to take.
Back to the Eldar, the whole army marched forward once more, and Karlon let the army know it was time to fire. The Star cannons opened up first, liquidizing 4 marines between them. The Falcon shooter was going to be rewarded after the battle, as he guided his Pulse Laser shots at the Dreadnought and inflicted a penetrating hit, managing to disable it totally. The Warp Spiders teleported right next to a tactical squad, and managed to slice apart a massive 7 Marines. (Don't you just love Surprise Assault.) The remaining marines struck down one Spider in return before fleeing off the battlefield.
Over to the Marines, they decided to direct their fire at the seer council, but the rune armour absorbed several lascannon and plasma cannon shots. Snipers shot at the Guardians, and although hitting, failed to cause any wounds. The Warp Spiders disappeared from combat, leaving the marines baffled.
The Eldar advanced forward once more, and this time the Guardians Star cannons were directed at the bike squadrons, and Khaine was smiling on them as they hit and killed all three. (I love the BS4. Ulthwe rocks). The Wraithlord pummelled the remaining tactical Squad and killed another two. Karlon wrestled Magneus Calguar (I allowed the player use) in a Mind War, and inflicted 2 wounds, although one was saved by the impenetrable Terminator Armour.
His warlock bodyguard released Destructor on the Snipers inside the building, melting their brains completely. The Warp Spiders reappeared into the building, but failed to kill any marines in shooting, and doing pitifully bad in combat also only killing one, they must have seen something in the Warp.
In the Ultramarine turn, the Devastators released their fury on the Seer Council again, but again failed to wound. (I was making an abundance of saves today). Magneus Calguar ran over to the Warp Spiders, and him and Marine friends managed to pummel them all. They would be avenged.
The Seer Council headed over to the Devastators, whilst the Falcon dropped its load of Banshees right outside the building door. They ran through to engage Marneus and his crew, and the Wraithlord smashed through the wall to join them. After fierce combat, the Banshees made mincemeat of the marines, and suffered two casualties at the hands of Marneus himself. With only the Wraithlord left to strike, he inflicted three instant kill wounds on Marneus, and his Armour failed to save two of them. He fell and a cheer went up as the Eldar knew they were close to victory. The Bahsees advanced within a few feet of the Devastators, whilst the cumbersome Wraithlord barely moved (3").
The remaining Marines (just the 3 Devastators) fired at the Banshees, and turned them all to a sticky mess. They were not in assault range so stood still and hoped to survive the Eldar revenge.
Both the Seer Council and the Wraithlord went to engage the remaining marines, but the Wraithlord fell a few feet short of the combat. A whirl of Psychic Powers and Witch blades ensured victory to the Eldar, with the final Mon-Keigh being slayed by Kar'lon himself.
In the end, it was amassive victory for the Eldar, suffering minimal losses (just the Warp Spiders and the Banshees), whilst the Ultramarines were completely annihilated.
This was my first match playing with Ulthwe (I stayed up until 5am repainting my Alaitoc), and I think you'll agree that it was a roaring success.
