From the start I knew I wanted to paint my Tau in a green/black/white scheme, though I wasn't sure about the proportions or the exact colortones. What I eventually came up with for Crisis and Fire Warriors is a Chaos Black base coat with Catachan Green for all armour plates. Tau sept markings and HQ-head are painted with Bleached Bone. Missiles are Skull White and lights/eyes are Blood Red. The "bolts" on the pulse rifles and crisis suits are painted with Boltgun Metal.
The Stealth Suits are painted with Chaos Black, and all armour plates are painted in Boltgun Metal. Tau sept markings are Bleached Bone, and the plate on top of the Burst Cannon casing is painted Catachan Green. I wanted my Stealths to be darker than the standard force and at the same time give a somewhat shimmering appearance on the field.
Tau skin is painted Codex Grey, and the Ethereal has a robe in Bleached Bone, with Catachan Green clothes showing on the arms and down at the legs.

| Nice work, i really like this scheme. "taugundrone" if you would like to have a nice white paint on your models, water it down (50:50 is about right), dip the brush in it, wipe the brush, so paint won't be dripping, and paint your models' bits. first layer will be almost transparent, but the more layers you put, the more solid color you'll have. This tehnique is highly recomended for beggining painters. Cheers!

| I love the stealth suits! They almost look like they should belong in a Necron list. The black crevices on the leg and shoulder pads make the colours really striking. Superb!
