Spent a lot of time on this one folks, apologies in advance for the poor picture:Gallery image
Anyways, this is my "recipe" for my Blood Angels.

A) Prime black. I use Chaos Black spray from GW.Definition: Games Workshop
B) I basecoat the armour with a 50/50 mix of Blood Red and Scorched brown. I make sure this is nice and watered down. I water down all my paints.
C) Once this basecoat is dry, I wash the armour with some thinned devlan mud.
D) I set the model aside for 45 mins, if you do the next step whilst the wash is wet, you'l have blood red running into your crevices, and that's not the effect we want.
E) I thin down some blood red and apply a nice, even coat to all of the areas of the armour, except those areas in heavy shadow, such as recesses, and the space between the armour plates. Particularly pay close attention to the back part of the legs, there's an "I" shaped line on both legs. You'll want to create areas of shadow where the "I" meets the leg, proper.
F) Again, I apply another coat of thinned down blood red. Trying to get it nice and even. This time, I pay particular attention to the raised areas, where light would naturally collect.
G) I mix up some blazing orange/blood red 50/50 and paint highlights on the model.
H) Pure blazing orange highlights are applied over the previous stage
I) A final line highlight of blazing orange mixed with skull white, is applied to the hard edges of shoulder pads, etc, to make them "pop".
J) To bring the various layers together, and to give the armour some sheen, I water down some Ball red, and use it as a "glaze" of sorts. Not to provide shading, but to paint it very thinly over the armour plates, to tone down the highlights, and bring the armour together.Comments/criticisms appreciated here.
